Documentation for version 5.3.0

Signing in and syncing

You only do this once. After that, the app recognizes you and you go straight in.

Signing in the first time

  1. The domain

It’s the address of your company’s system, for example ventas.tuempresa.com. Type it in full, without https:// or slashes: the app fills that in. The office gives it to you. Before saving it, the app checks that the server responds; if it doesn’t, it tells you and saves nothing.

  2. Your email and password

The same ones you use to sign in to your company’s system.

  3. The PIN, if you want one

Four digits. It stops anyone who picks up your unlocked phone from opening Zentrix Sales and seeing your customers’ prices, debts and addresses. You can tap «Ahora no» (Not now) and go in anyway — the app won’t ask again, and you can turn it on whenever you like in Perfil › Cuenta (Profile › Account).

From then on

You never type your email or the domain again: the app saves your account. If you were already using the app before 5.3.0, you don’t have to type anything: your domain is already saved. If you set a PIN, the app asks for it after 15 minutes of not using it.

Sync before you head out

With a good signal, open the app and wait for the little dot in the top corner to turn green. To speed it up, tap it and then «Sincronizar ahora» (Sync now).

The Zentrix Sales sync panel: “Conectado · todo enviado” (Connected · all sent), the “Sincronizar ahora” (Sync now) button and the line “9 de 9 datos al día · lo más viejo, hace 23 h” (9 of 9 data sets up to date · oldest, 23 h ago).
Tap the dot and this panel opens. It tells you the status in plain words and how old each piece of data is.

That downloads to your phone your customer list, prices, the catalog, available stock, exchange rates and what customers owe you. With that, you can work the whole day even if you lose signal.

The panel shows you, line by line, how old each piece of data is and how much you still have to send. The first time you open the app each day, it also tells you whether «Ya puedes salir a la calle» (“You’re ready to head out”) and, if something essential is missing, what it is.

Heads up

If you head out without syncing, the app works just the same — but with yesterday’s prices and balances. Two minutes in the morning save you an argument with a customer.

The PIN

It’s optional, and you’re asked only once per account: if you answered «Ahora no» (Not now), the app won’t insist again — not that day, and not every time you sign out.

Once the PIN is set, it’s requested every time 15 minutes go by without you touching anything. You turn it on or change it in Perfil › Cuenta, and to change it the app asks for the current one first.

There’s no “forgot my PIN”, and that’s on purpose: it would be a back door for anyone holding your phone. If you don’t remember it, sign out and sign in again with your password.

It’s worth setting

Behind the PIN are each customer’s prices, how much they owe you and where their stores are. A phone lost with the session open and no PIN hands all of that over.

If two reps share the phone

Nothing gets mixed up. Each person has their own customers, orders and pending items saved, kept apart by email. Signing out doesn’t delete anything of yours: when you sign back in, everything is just as you left it.

On the sign-in screen, «Manejar cuentas» (Manage accounts) lets you remove an account from the list (its data stays saved) or delete it completely. First check how many unsent items it has.
