1. Ask for the pickup code
Before you bring down a single package, ask the customer for their pickup code. You have it in big letters at the top of the order. If it doesn’t match, don’t hand it over and call your manager.
If the customer shows up without a call
Tap Validar un código (Check a code) on the main screen. Point at the customer’s code, or type it if they read it to you, and tap Buscar (Search). The app tells you what it is and takes you there: Ir a la entrega (Go to the handover).
2. Follow the button at the bottom
You only see the steps that order needs, in this order:
Leer los bultos (Scan the packages) → Verificar mayoría de edad (Verify legal age) → Tomar la foto de la prueba (Take the proof photo) → Entregar (Hand over)
3. Scan the packages
- Tap «Leer los bultos» (Scan the packages).
«Apunta a la etiqueta del bulto.» (“Point at the package label.”) The count goes up: «2 de 3 bultos leídos» (“2 of 3 packages scanned”). If there’s only one, it says «Lee el bulto.» (“Scan the package.”) and «0 de 1 bulto leído» (“0 of 1 package scanned”).
- Scan them all, one by one.
Even if they’re together. If a label won’t scan, tap A mano (By hand) and type the code.
If the order has no labels: «Este pedido no tiene bultos etiquetados: entrégalo con el chequeo manual de siempre.» (“This order has no labeled packages: hand it over with the usual manual check.”) Count them by hand.
On a delivery order that has already left, the screen says «El motorizado ya se lo llevó. No tienes que entregar nada más» (“The rider already took it. You don’t need to hand over anything else”) and who took it. The Entregar (Hand over) button doesn’t appear there: the rider closes the delivery at the customer’s door.
4. Orders with alcohol: check the age
If you see «Este pedido lleva bebidas alcohólicas» (“This order contains alcoholic beverages”), you have to verify the customer is of legal age before handing it over. It’s recorded under your name.
- Tap «Verificar la edad» (Verify age).
Choose the document: Cédula (ID card), Licencia (Driver’s license) or Pasaporte (Passport).
- Place the document inside the frame and scan it.
The app guides you: «Acerca la cédula al marco» (“Move the ID closer to the frame”), «Hay poca luz» (“The light is low”). «La foto no se guarda: solo se lee la fecha de nacimiento y se descarta.» (“The photo isn’t saved: only the date of birth is read, then it’s discarded.”)
- If it won’t scan, type the date.
Tap Escribir la fecha a mano (Type the date by hand) and enter the day, month and year as shown on the document.
- Compare it with the document in your hand.
The app tells you the age. Double-check it.
- Check «Vi el documento del cliente y es mayor de edad.» (I saw the customer’s document and they’re of legal age.) and tap «Confirmo que es mayor de edad» (I confirm they’re of legal age).
Without the checkbox, the button stays off.
- If the app says they’re underage: «No entregues el pedido. Avisa al encargado.» (“Don’t hand over the order. Tell your manager.”)
- If the date is very close to 18, it asks you to type it yourself.
- Never check the box without seeing the document. Your confirmation is saved with your name and the time.
On a delivery order viewed in the store, it may say «La cédula la pide el conductor en la puerta.» (“The driver asks for the ID at the door.”) In that case, it’s not your job.
5. The proof photo
Tap Paquete (Package) or Cédula (ID card) and take the photo. Check «¿Se ve bien?» (“Does it look good?”) and tap Usar esta foto (Use this photo).
- If the order requires it, it says obligatoria (required): «Este pedido no se puede entregar sin al menos una foto.» (“This order can’t be handed over without at least one photo.”)
- If not, it’s optional: «Puedes dejar constancia con una foto del paquete o de la cédula de quien recibe.» (“You can keep a record with a photo of the package or of the recipient’s ID.”)
The photo of the ID stays with the order, under your name. Take it only if the customer agrees. If they don’t want to, the package photo works.
6. Hand it over
- Give them the packages and tap «Entregar» (Hand over).
«¿Entregar el pedido?» (“Hand over the order?”) reminds you how many packages and to whom. «El pedido queda cerrado y no se puede deshacer desde el teléfono.» (“The order is closed and can’t be undone from the phone.”)
- Tap «Sí, entregar» (Yes, hand over).
If you’re not sure, Todavía no (Not yet).
You see «Entregado.» (“Handed over.”) and how long it took you. Tap Listo (Done). The order won’t come back to your list.
Collecting payment at the door and «No pude entregar» (I couldn’t deliver) belong to home delivery, not the counter.
