Working without a signal

At the gate, the signal comes and goes. What you sign is stored on the phone and sent automatically when the signal returns.

How to tell if there’s a signal

At the top of the screen, the status bar tells you:

  • «Sin señal · tu trabajo se guarda en el teléfono.» (“No signal · your work is saved on the phone.”)
  • «3 por enviar» (“3 to send”): entries are waiting.
  • «Al día» (“Up to date”): everything reached Odoo.
  • «Necesita atención» (“Needs attention”): Odoo rejected something. Check it in Por enviar (Waiting to send).

✓ and ✓✓

MarkMeaning
✓«Guardado ✓» (“Saved ✓”): it’s on the phone, signed. It’s sent automatically.
✓✓«En Odoo ✓✓» (“In Odoo ✓✓”): Odoo has received it.

You see them next to the on-duty switch, on every signed record and in Por enviar (Waiting to send). With ✓ you can move on: what you signed isn’t lost even if the phone turns off.

Waiting to send

Tap Más › Por enviar (More › Waiting to send).

  • At the top: how many are still waiting, or «Al día» (“Up to date”) if nothing is left.
  • Below: one row per truck, paperwork-free entry, incident, key or asset, with its ✓ or ✓✓. Tap a row to see each entry.
  • Photos go separately: «fotos esperando para subir» (“photos waiting to upload”). They are heavier and upload later.

The queue sends itself. If something got stuck, you see Enviar ahora (Send now). Otherwise, the only button is Hoy (Today).

Nothing is deleted from here. Not when you go off duty, not when you sign out of the phone, and not if the phone is blocked.

If Odoo doesn’t accept something

The row says «Odoo no aceptó este registro.» (“Odoo didn’t accept this entry.”) (or «Odoo no aceptó esta foto.», “Odoo didn’t accept this photo.”) and, below it, Odoo’s message exactly as sent. Read it: it says what happened. Tap Llamar al supervisor (Call the supervisor) if you don’t know what to do. You don’t sign it again.

A coworker’s entries

If a coworker signed on this phone and their session expired, their entries wait. The “i” says «Esperando a …» (“Waiting for …”) and «Se enviarán cuando vuelva a entrar aquí.» (“They’ll be sent when they sign in here again.”) Ask them to sign in with their name and PIN.

What needs a signal

Works without a signalNeeds a signal
Signing in with your name and PINSigning in for the first time with your email and password
Going on and off dutySigning in with your password (first time, «Olvidé mi PIN» (“I forgot my PIN”), expired session)
Continuing a truck you already started, and signing itStarting a truck, a receipt or a return («Trayendo lo de Odoo…», “Getting the data from Odoo…”)
Taking photosRefreshing the Hoy (Today) list
Paperwork-free entries and incidentsOdoo’s replies (for example, «Gerente avisado», “Manager notified”)
Viewing Teléfonos (Phones), the last saved listThe administrator console

Without a signal, Hoy shows the last list that arrived, with «Datos de las …» (“Data from …”). Anything that happened later in Odoo won’t show until the signal returns.

Put simply

What you start with a signal, you can finish without one. What you sign gets there on its own. If you see ✓, it’s safe.
